Gw terms and other unexplained things - Guild Wars Forums

I just started playing GW and have a few questions,Where are links or stickies to explain ..farming,and other terms.Also where can I find out what some items in the game are used for Scrolls energy items etc.I'm currently level 6 Ranger and would like to learn how to "build" a good chactor ,but can't understand half of what I read in some posts,their too "advanced" for this ol guy! Thanks for any help..Johnn

When I first started playing, I googled "Guild Wars FAQ" and got a lot of information that helped me out for the rest of the game. I would start there and also check http://gw.gamewikis.org for all you ever need to know about Guild Wars. Any questions, you already know the right forum. Hopefully you find everything you need. Keep in mind there is no substitute for experience, trying, failing, succeeding, and learning.

When I started, I went to gamefaqs for a lot of my beginning information. I know just off the top of my head that they have mini-guides for character types/builds, missions and quests, and I'm pretty sure there is even one that just goes over frequently used abbreviations.

I highly recommend getting into a good, friendly guild as well. Having people to chat with, ask questions of, team up and explain things to you is priceless and the game is just more fun when played within a community.
